Local pastel artist recreates a 4 Islands Festival moment.

Recently, we were contact by Jo-Anne Keirnan of Macleay Island Art Supplies. She requested permission to use one of our photographs of a Quandamooka didgeridoo player to do as a pastel. We of course said "YES!". So here it is, the completed pastel, shown side-by-side with the original photograph. We think the work is outstanding! What about you? Macleay Island Skate Park – Open for general use

Skate park open for general use - Mid April 2014 The majority of the work on the Macleay Island Skate Park has now been completed, and the park is open for public use. While there are some finishing touches to be applied, the skate park is 'feature complete' and many of the children of the islands can be seen enjoying it daily after school, and all throughout the weekend. Local taxi company robbed

Last night, the local taxi cab was robbed in Nugent street, Macleay Island. The taxi was empty at the time, and no-one has been injured, but all of the days takings, and personal items belonging to the driver were stolen. The vehicle was secured and parked out the front of a house for approximately 15 minutes unattended.
